Send announcements, newsletters, and automated emails to your members.

Announcements

Send one-time announcements to all members or targeted groups. Announcements support rich text formatting, images, and links.

To send an announcement, go to Admin → Email → New Announcement:

  1. Compose your message using the rich text editor
  2. Select recipients (all members, specific plans, tags, or individual members)
  3. Preview the email
  4. Send immediately or schedule for later

Newsletters

Create recurring newsletters to keep members engaged. Membicus provides a newsletter builder with:

  • Drag-and-drop sections
  • Pre-built templates
  • Automatic event listing inclusion
  • Member spotlight sections
  • Custom HTML blocks

Newsletters can be sent to all members or segmented by plan, tags, or preferences.

Automated Emails

Membicus sends automated emails for key events in the member lifecycle:

  • Welcome email — When a new member joins
  • Renewal reminders — 30, 14, and 7 days before expiration
  • Payment receipts — After successful payments
  • Event confirmations — After event registration
  • Event reminders — Before upcoming events
  • Expiration notice — When membership expires

Each automated email can be customized or disabled from Admin → Settings → Email Templates.

Email Templates

Customize the look and content of all system emails. Templates support:

  • Your chamber's logo and brand colors (pulled from Brand Kit)
  • Dynamic merge fields (member name, company, plan, dates)
  • Rich text content editing
  • Preview and test send

All templates automatically use your Brand Kit colors and logo for a consistent, professional appearance.

Member Preferences

Members can manage their email preferences from their dashboard. They can opt in or out of:

  • Announcements and general communications
  • Newsletters
  • Event notifications

Transactional emails (payment receipts, password resets) are always sent and cannot be opted out of.

Respect member email preferences to maintain high deliverability rates and avoid spam complaints.
